Abstract

Projection as well as Projection Inversed has diverse role in Folklore study, Only list of collections and mere text printed will never help understanding content and context in light of the changing course of time -historical event or contemporary life style. And, the process of looking at folklore item/s from the point of views of the number of projections include the role of psychoanalytic semiotic for understanding not only in terms of words but also in metaphorical aspects and marked gesture. In fact, projection is functional not only in folklore study but also in analyses of any piece of literature, television series, and motion picture or living performances formal or informal. The author cited examples from theorists, fairytales, classic literature, science fiction, scientific milestone, nursery thymes, practiced rituals and demonstrated projections and projection inversed with a very communicative simple style of flexible arguments. We learn folklore itself may not he projection but it is illuminated with projection/s. Psycho-analytic semiotic has forces to contribute to folklore study
