Abstract

The interpretations and the description of the performances of the songs inchaded in this article are those of the author's spouse Juliana Zharoronkova. The author Andtex Sladhor and the performer Julata Zhavomnikovs are interestinądy working on translating various popular Венций songs to Kamian and adupring them to Rossiam tunes. This article highlights their experience and explansunon of translating poems or songs written by Rabindranath Tagore, Kam Nazrul Islam and Jivananaods Dus, and adapting them to Rawian rupes. Ir informs that shey are also working on the songs of Padan Das Baul, Fakir Lalon Sai, Rajanikanta Sen anul others. The readers of this excelent article will obtain a clear understanding of the difference in melody, diythm, intonation of Bengali and Russian mic. The tasks of maisposing the notation of the Bertgall songs into western (Russian) notation in indeed a novel work. While doing this, they hurve peimarily chosen those songs which directly reflect the features of the natuns, language, way of expression and cultuni of Bangladesh. In order m help the Russian music kwers understand the thoughts and cultural characteristics of Bangladesh and Bengali people through the most influential Bergab songs, they have followed ythe methodology of adaptation rather than following the the path of Ineral translation and imitation of tunes.
