The Study of Puble Plety is pivocal to understanding a Religious cummunity and its deliberations on Society, Religion, and Policies. This Review intends to engage the readers with such a study on public piery as reflected on the Waz Mahfil tradition of Bangladesh. Through the study of Poetics of this age-old tradition of religious preaching, the authoe presents a holistic approach to understanding Bangladeshi Muslim religious gatherings-the Waz Mahfil Lending from various disciplinary practices, ropecially from the history of emotion, this book tell many tales and anecdotes of a living experience. Going beyond the cliché categorization, this book comprising of fieldwork and interviews, tells the story of religious gatherings objectively. The analysis of the language, aesthetics, poetics, and emotions paves the way for better grasping the inherent qualities-bad or good, of War Mahfil. This Review sommarizes interesting angaments and articulations made in this book on Waz Mahfil Tradition of Bangladesh.
