Abstract

Regional and country studies is an important discipline, and many major countries place great importance on regional and country studies. In December 2021, the Acaudernic Degree Committee of the State Council of China issued the "Professional Catalog of Awarding Ph.D, Master's Degrees and Talent Training Disciplines (Draft for Comment and listed its management methods as first-level disciplines under the regional and country studies interdisciplinary division. This means that China will devote more academic efforts to regional and country research in the future, especially in neighboring regions and countries including Bangladesh. This article will be divided into three parts. The first part gives a brief overview of the development of regional and country studies. The second part introduces the developnerit of China's regional and country studies. The third part introduces the characteristics of China's regional and country studies.
